'CHAMPIONS': PM Modi Congratulates Team India Over Victory in T20 World Cup 2024 Final

New Delhi: After India won India won T 20 World Cup Final  2024 defeating South Africa, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his happiness over his X handle. He congratulated Team India terming them as “Champions” and described the match as “historic". 

Taking to X, Prime Minister wrote, “CHAMPIONS! Our team brings the T20 World Cup home in STYLE! We are proud of the Indian Cricket Team. This match was HISTORIC.” 

President of India Droupadi Murmu expressed her excitement over India's victory in the T 20 World Cup against South Africa. Taking to X, she said, “My heartiest congratulations to Team India for winning the T20 World Cup. With the never-say-die spirit, the team sailed through difficult situations and demonstrated outstanding skills throughout the tournament. It was an extraordinary victory in the final match. Well done, Team India! We are proud of you!.”

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to X and said, "Your accomplishments will always be celebrated and cherished. We look forward to continuing to support and cheer for you in future matches! Congratulations to  world champion Team. A glorious moment for our nation. Our players put up a stellar performance throughout the #T20WorldCup with unmatched team spirit and sportsmanship. The nation swells with pride at their historic achievement.

An exhilarated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted, “Invincible India! Hearty congratulations to the people of India! Congratulations to the 'World Champion' Indian Cricket Team! Jai Hind.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took to X and expressed his excitement over the historic win of Team India in T 20 Worl Cup, 2024 against South Africa. 

In his post, he said, “What an incredible victory and achievement by Indian cricket team! The Indian team has scripted history by defeating South Africa at #T20WolrdCupFinal! The entire nation is elated by India winning the T20 Cricket World Cup! Congratulations to the Indian cricket team for spectacular display of cricketing skills, grit and perseverance. This victory today will motivate so many upcoming cricketers and sportspersons. We are proud of the Indian team.”

Raebareli MP and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also expressed his happiness over India's victory in the World Cup. He congratulated Team India for “spectacular display of cricketing skills, grit and perseverance.”
