Security forces have intensified their crackdown on terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir following the attack, which left 26 tourists dead and several others injured.
In a major action on Saturday, security forces demolished the house of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Adnan Shafi in the Zainapora area of Shopian district. This is the sixth such demolition since the Pahalgam attack, as authorities push forward with a tough response against terrorism in the region.
Earlier, intelligence agencies had released a list of 14 local terrorists believed to be operational in Jammu and Kashmir. These individuals are suspected to be providing ground support to cross-border terror networks, mainly affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
