Hyderabad: A shocking incident unfolded in Hyderabad after two members of a family were found living with the decomposed body of a woman who has passed away about a week ago. The incident came to light after some neighbours noticed a foul smell emanating from the house on Wednesday. The neighbours went there and got no response from inside the house, following which they informed the police.

After receiving the information, police reached the spot and broke open the door which was bolted from inside. The cops recovered the decomposed body of the woman on a cot in the main hall, reported news agency PTI quoting a police official of Jeedimetla police station as saying. The official said that the woman's mother and brother were found living in the same house but they told the police that they were not aware of her death.

Police were suspecting the woman's family members were not in mentally sound state. It seems the woman had died due to some previous health issues about four-five days ago, the official said and added that based on preliminary investigation, a post-mortem was being conducted. A case was registered in this regard and further investigations was underway.
