Man stabbed to death in Noida, villagers stage massive protest demanding action against culprits

A police official said, the incident took place in Kondli Bangar village, which comes under Knowledge Park police station limits.

Noida: A 40-year-old man was stabbed multiple times to death in Greater Noida allegedly by a few of his known persons. Police sources said that the victim was killed over a dispute between him and the accused.

The incident took place in Kondli Bangar village, which comes under Knowledge Park police station limits. A case under relevant sections has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.

Additional DCP (Greater Noida) Ashok Kumar Sharma said, "Local resident Ravindra Chauhan approached the police today and informed them about his brother's murder. He has given a complaint, raising suspicion over involvement of some people from his village in the murder," reported news agency PTI.

"An FIR has been lodged against the named persons and an investigation launched into the case. The body has been sent for post mortem," the officer said.

Police force was deployed at the village in the wake of the incident, as the villagers started a massive protest against the killing and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. However, the police officials said that the situation was under control.

Further legal proceedings are underway.
