The Trinamool Congress has pointed fingers at a number of different groups after a second BJP worker was found dead in West Bengal's Purulia in the space of just three days, even as the investigation in the case was handed over to the state's CID.

After BJP national secretary Rahul Sinha alleged the Trinamool Congress' hand, Rajya Sabha MP and senior TMC leader Derek O'Brien has offered his condemnation of the killing and said that all angles must be probed.

Derek O'Brien has pointed fingers by asking the following:

What role did the Jharkhand border have to play?
What elements of the Bajrang Dal, Maoist or BJP involved?

The truth must be found out through proper investigation and the perpetrators must be punished, he has said.

Almost simultaneously, the case was transferred by the Bengal police to the state's CID. The Bengal Police suspects a conspiracy as two incidents have occurred in the same district, and the role of outsiders would also be looked into, sources said to Republic TV.

Earlier on Saturday, 28-year-old Dulal Kumar, who Rahul Sinha confirmed was the party's OBC Morcha vice president, was found dead, hanging from an electric pole near his village, Dabha, in West Bengal's Purulia.

Dulal had allegedly gone missing on Friday night. When information of him having been found dead was initially received, the local Police said that it was a case of suicide. However, speaking to Republic TV, just as in the case of 18-year-old Trilochan Mahato, the BJP alleged a Trinamool Congress hand and said that the police wouldn't do anything.

"Even Police is with TMC. They won't do anything. How does the Police know that it is suicide?", Sinha had said.

Just as in the Mahato case, the BJP demanded a CBI probe into the matter.
