Vistara flight UK 718 from Patna to Delhi on Wednesday evening was diverted to Indore. The flight departed at 10.15 pm. Due to dense fog in Delhi, the pilot landed in Indore at 1:80 pm instead of Delhi.  

Former Union minister and Patna Sahib Lok Sabha MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, RJD's Rajya Sabha MP AD Singh, Banka MP Giridhari Yadav, former JD(U) national president Vashisht Narayan Singh and Bihar Pradesh Congress President Akhilesh Singh's son were among the passengers stranded in Indore.

According to sources, the pilot did not have experience of landing an aircraft with low visibility. So instead of Delhi, he landed at Indore. Till late at night, the aircraft does not take off from Indore for Delhi. Moreover, fog stopped the speed of trains and flights in Patna on Wednesday. As a result, 11 pairs of flights were delayed at Patna airport while seven major trains were delayed for hours. Trains were delayed 11 hours while flights were delayed by six and a half hours. This upset the passengers. 

At Patna Junction, multiple trains reached six and a half hours late. Passengers said that the speed of trains between Vindhyachal and Mughal Sarai was very slow. Magadh reached Patna 11 hours late. The Tejas Rajdhani Express reached Patna Junction after a delay of about 4:30 hours. There was a problem due to the delay in reaching Patna. Similarly, passengers faced a lot of problems due to delay of Vikramshila 10 hours from Delhi to Patna, Shramjeevi Express by 7:30 hours, Patna Hatia by 1:20 hours.
