New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a deep philosophical question about death in an interview with US-based popular podcaster Lex Fridman. He reflected on the inevitability of death, urging people to focus on living a meaningful life rather than fearing the end.
He emphasized that while death is certain, what truly counts is how one chooses to live. PM Modi encouraged individuals to avoid wasting time in worry and instead direct their energy toward enriching their lives and making a positive impact on the world. He stressed that since life is unpredictable, every moment should be spent with purpose, continuous learning, and efforts to make a difference.
"Death is inevitable, but what truly matters is how life is lived. Instead of worrying about it, we should channel our energy into enriching our lives and contributing positively to the world," PM Modi said.
During the podcast, Lex Fridman also recited the Gayatri Mantra and asked PM Modi if his pronunciation was correct. In response, the Prime Minister recited the mantra himself and explained its deeper significance.
"The Gayatri Mantra is deeply rooted in Surya Upasana and carries a profound spiritual essence. Every mantra is not just a set of words but has a scientific connection, reflecting different aspects of life and the universe," PM Modi said. He further highlighted how ancient Indian traditions seamlessly blend spirituality and science, offering timeless wisdom to humanity.
Acknowledging that mistakes can happen, PM Modi firmly stated that while he may errors, he will never act with the wrong intent. His every action, he reiterated, is guided by a sincere desire to serve the nation.
Lex Fridman's podcast provided valuable insights into India's governance, democracy, and electoral strength, highlighting its status as the world's largest democracy.
