Recalling the day when she had filed a complaint in 2008, Tanushree told Republic TV's Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami, said, "So that night after the attack and mob lynching finished, we were all shaken up.  After the cops rescued us, they took us to the police station and where the cop was taking my complaint, I narrated everything to him and I filed an FIR. I would never have imagined in my wildest dreams that my day would end like this. I was shaken up for years after that but I had gone to the cops station and told him everything that happened and I saw this other guy writing it down. I said everything from my end, and I remember the cop asking me if I wanted to put Nana Patekar's name in the complaint and that pissed me off. The police told me that my name will also be included and I'll have to keep coming to the police station and the court, to which I said, I have given everything from my end now you have to investigate. He then made me sign it and I went home."
