Unakoti Tripura: Police recently intercepted a fake ambulance, leading to the seizure of 53 packets of ganja, as per reports. The estimated value of the confiscated cannabis is approximately Rs 20 lakh. The interception was made by a team from Kailashahar Police, while they were on patrol in the Kamranga, Bari area. Their suspicions were aroused by the suspicious activities of the fake ambulance.
Officer Feroze Mia and his team noticed the vehicle during their patrol and promptly gave chase. Upon interception, they discovered the 53 packets of ganja inside the ambulance. However, the driver managed to escape the scene.

Authorities believe that the seized ganja was intended to be smuggled to other states for sale at higher prices.The packets of ganja were being smuggled to other states to be sold at higher rates," they said.
A case has been registered in connection with this incident, and the police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
