Father Murders and Dismembers Daughter Over Love Affair in Bahraich
A father in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, brutally murdered and dismembered his 17-year-old daughter over her romantic relationship.
In a horrifying incident in the Motipur police station area of Bahraich district, a man allegedly enraged by his minor daughter's romantic relationship brutally murdered and dismembered her, police said on Monday.
The accused, identified as Naeem Khan, a resident of Lakshmanpur Matehi village, was arrested after his wife lodged a complaint. "Naeem Khan, a resident of Lakshmanpur Matehi village in Motipur, allegedly killed his 17-year-old daughter on Monday," said Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Pavit Mohan Tripathi. Khan used a sharp weapon to slit her throat before severing her head, hands, and legs.
Eyewitnesses reported that after committing the gruesome act, Khan, in a fit of rage, sat beside the dismembered body of his daughter.
"The teenager was having an affair with a youth from the same village and she had run away from home twice before," Tripathi added. The youth involved in the affair had previously been arrested and jailed after cases were registered against him in Motipur and Nanpara police stations.
During interrogation, Naeem admitted that he had become suspicious of his daughter's actions after her repeated attempts to flee. He feared that she might run away again and believed her behavior would negatively impact his other children. "Naeem said his daughter's behavior could have a negative impact on his other children, so he killed his daughter with a sharp weapon," Tripathi explained.
Police Circle Officer Heera Lal Kanaujia noted that the father had four daughters and claimed that the incidents involving his eldest daughter had brought disrepute to the family in the village. The post-mortem of the body is underway, and police are conducting a thorough investigation before proceeding with legal action.
