"Festival of colours": PM Modi, President Kovind, Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee and other political leaders extend Holi greetings to the Nation. Here are their messages

On the auspicious occasion of the Holi on Thursday, the country celebrates colours, friendship and the victory of good over evil. With the country celebrating the festival of colours, our political leaders also extended best wishes, saying 'Happy Holi' to the nation.

On the auspicious occasion of the Holi on Thursday, the country celebrates colours, friendship and the victory of good over evil. With the country celebrating the festival of colours, our political leaders also extended best wishes, saying 'Happy Holi' to the nation. 

Sending greetings to the countrymen on the divine festival of Holi, PM Modi took to social media to say: "this festival of joy and gaiety will further strengthen the colour of our unity and goodwill".

President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted to extend 'best wishes to fellow citizens in India and abroad on the auspicious occasion of Holi', saying that 'the festival of colours, Holi is a celebration of spring and fraternity in our society'. He also posted a message wishing the Parsi community on the occasion of Navroz. 

BJP national president Amit Shah took to social media to send Holi greetings to the nation, praying for the festival of colours to bring happiness, peace and good fortune in their lives.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi extended heartfelt greetings to the people and families on the auspicious occasion of Holi on behalf of the entire Congress family. He wrote: "May the festival of Holi bring happiness and fill the lives with colours, that will be my wish from the god."

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav posted a simple message on the festival of saying, "Colourful Greetings to people and their families on the occasion of Holi!"

Jammu & Kashmir National Conference leader Omar Abdullah posted Holi and Navroz wishes to the social media users on Twitter. 

West Bengal CM and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee sent heartiest Holi greetings to the nation, praying for their lives to be filled with colours of joy and happiness.
