Four Teenagers Killed in Aligarh Accident After Dussehra Festivities
Four teenage boys were killed in a motorcycle accident near Aligarh after attending Dussehra festivities. Police are investigating.
In a tragic accident on the outskirts of Aligarh city, four teenage boys lost their lives when their motorcycle collided with a parked tractor trolley early Sunday morning, police said.
The victims—Vikas, Yash, Sunil, and Ravi—were returning home after attending Dussehra festivities, according to Circle Officer (CO) Mayank Pathak. The boys, who had left their village in Dibai town of Bulandshahr district on Saturday night, were heading back before dawn when the fatal accident occurred.
"A police patrolling car arrived at the spot and took the victims to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead upon arrival," Pathak confirmed.
Yash's grandfather, Hari Om Sharma, was informed by the police about the tragedy after they identified Yash through the motorcycle's number plate. "After the police informed him, he immediately rushed to the hospital along with other villagers," Sharma said.
Sharma also noted that the four boys were either related or close family friends and had been riding together on the same motorcycle.
Police have sent the bodies for postmortem as the investigation continues.
