Imphal: A gunfight broke out between unidentified and police commandos in border town Moreh on Saturday, according to news agency PTI. The gunmen reportedly opened fire on a police convoy while they were going for patrolling, as per PTI. As a result, a commando has been injured and is currently undergoing treatment at 5 Assam Rifles Camp.

One policeman sustained splinter injuries when they come under attack while crossing M Chahnou village section of Imphal-Moreh road," a police officer told PTI.

According to preliminary reports, indiscriminate firing was continuing near New Moreh entrance gate and M Chahnou village.

Two houses were also set on fire in Moreh, according to reports.
