New Delhi: Just as students may have been rejoicing that their winter vacations have been extended, the Delhi government has withdrawn its order related to the extension. Owing to the intense winter this January in Delhi NCR, the Department of Education had issued an order notifying the extension of winter break in schools within the national capital.

Schools usually have a winter vacation starting from Christmas and going on until New Year’s Day. Due to the harsh winter and extreme cold wave, the Delhi government had extended the winter holidays for schools until January 10. This order was valid for all government-aided and unaided recognised private schools of the national capital territory (NCT).
