Mumbai:  DRI Mumbai successfully thwarted a drug smuggling attempt by an Ugandan woman national who carried out an unconventional method by hiding drugs inside her bra pads and hair wig. 

As a drugs enforcement organization, the DRI has busted several operatives, including those that used sanitary pads, liquid cocaine in whiskey bottles, black cocaine, cocaine in moisturizer bottles, and other techniques of concealment. This time it was more difficult because of the concealing inside the bra cups and the hair wig.

An officer said "Within the early hours of December 19 throughout the operation, 890 grams of cocaine altogether, estimated to be worth Rs 8.9 crore in the black market, were taken from the passenger by DRI personnel in the Mumbai zonal unit."

The officer further added "The contraband seized was to supply in Mumbai. The accused was investigated and later produced in court and was sent to judicial custody"
