Jammu:  Security forces have foiled a major terror plot of Pakistan to carry out targeted killings of 'High Profile Politician' in Pir Panjal region. A huge consignment of weapons including pistols, magazines and hand grenades have been recovered along the line of control.

Official told Republic that huge cache of arms and ammunition has been seized in the Mendhar area, consisting of three pistols, five magazines, and four grenades. The consignment was aimed to target a politician in the region. This operation was launched by the Indian Army in the Kasblari region of Mendhar, situated in close proximity to the Line of Control.

It is pertinent to mention that a major terrorist strike killed seven civilians in the Dhangri area of Rajouri on the first day of 2023 when terrorist barged into civilian houses
