Ayodhya: During his recent visit to Ayodhya on December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a special visit at Meera Manjhi's residence, marking her as the 10th crore beneficiary of the government's Ujjwala scheme. This initiative provides financial assistance for LPG connections to households under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. Now, on Wednesday, in recognition of this milestone, PM Modi personally penned a letter to Meera Manjhi and extended gifts for her and her family. His visit to her home underscored the government's commitment to empowering households through initiatives like the Ujjwala scheme.
This gesture of PM Modi highlighted the significance of the Ujjwala scheme in transforming the lives of millions of beneficiaries across the country, providing them with access to clean cooking fuel and promoting a healthier lifestyle.
PM Modi shared a light moment with Meera & her family
During his transit from the newly redevloped Ayodhya Dham railway station, PM Modi made a spontaneous visit to Meera Manjhi's residence. The a moment was captured in a video and it went viral in no time. The footage depicted PM Modi engaging warmly with Meera's family members, including her husband, in-laws, and children. As the family members attempted to touch PM Modi's feet, he graciously stopped them and started a conversation. "Do you know why I am here, Meera? We have provided 10 crore gas connections across the country. I made it a point to meet the 10th crore beneficiary, and that happens to be you. Interestingly, it was in Ayodhya," PM Modi said during the interaction.
In a heartwarming moment captured, PM Modi engaged asked Meera, "What do you cook using the gas?" Meera promptly responded, "Today, I prepared rice, lentils, vegetables, and also made tea for you." PM Modi then expressed his desire for tea. "Then serve me some tea," he requested, to which Meera promptly went to the kitchen and got tea for the Prime Minister. Observing it was milk tea, PM Modi inquired about the source of the milk. "You people have very sweet tea," PM Modi said light-heartedly manner during the exchange.
PM Modi unveils development projects in Ayodhya ahead of Ram Temple inauguration
PM Modi visited the house of Meera when he was in Ayodhya last Saturday to inaugurate on a series of pivotal development projects in anticipation of the forthcoming Ram Temple inauguration scheduled for January 22. PM Modi kickstarted the event by inaugurating Ayodhya's new Maharshi Valmiki airport, signifying a significant advancement in the area's transportation infrastructure. Additionally, he also unveiled the revamped train station, enhancing connectivity and transportation services for the region's residents and visitors.The visit also saw the Prime Minister launching various development projects amounting to a total investment of Rs 15,700 crore, further highlighting the government's commitment to propelling the socio-economic progress of Ayodhya and its surrounding areas.
