New Delhi: Golden Quadrilateral is India's very own smart highway, it's a symbol of connectivity, economic progress, and infrastructure development. 

Stretching over 5,800 kilometers, this road network of four national highways Golden Quadrilateral connects a crucial chain of India's transportation system.

Golden Quadrilateral Route Map:
The Golden Quadrilateral begins its journey from the heart of India, Delhi, and ventures north on NH 1 until it reaches Agra. From there, it heads south on NH 2, cutting through the edges until it reaches the bustling city of Kolkata. 

Continuing its journey, it takes NH 6 to connect Kolkata with Chennai, before traversing west on NH 4 to arrive at the vibrant metropolis of Mumbai. Finally, the network ends its quadrilateral by heading towards north on NH 8, completing the loop back to Delhi.

Spanning across the vast Indian terrain, the Golden Quadrilateral covers significant distances between its endpoints:

Delhi–Kolkata: 1,453 km
Chennai–Mumbai: 1,290 km
Kolkata–Chennai: 1,684 km
Mumbai–Delhi: 1,419 km

This meticulously planned highway boasts four or six lanes, providing ample space for high volumes of traffic. Its smooth paved surface ensures a comfortable and efficient journey for travelers. Along the route, rest stops, fuel stations, and other amenities cater to the needs of commuters, enhancing their overall experience.
