New Delhi: In a move that will bring respite to people across the country, the govt oil-gas companies have announced a reduction in price of LPG cylinders. This is the second reduction announced by the oil companies within a month. 

Reduction in price of commercial cylinder 

Companies including Indian Oil ( IOC), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) , Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) have slashed the price for 19-kg commercial cylinders. However, the cut in price for LPG has been kept minimal. For various cities, the prices of 19-kg LPG cylinders have been a cut by Rs 1.5 whereas, no price cut has been announced for 14-kg domestic cylinder.

Fresh prices of 19kg LPG cylinders in cities

After the latest deductions, a 19-kg LPG cylinder will cost 1,755.50 in Delhi after Rs 1.5 reduction. Whereas in Chennai, the price has been slashed by Rs 4.50 to 1,924.50. In Mumbai, the price has been slashed by Rs 1.5 to 1,708.50. Meanwhile, In Kolkata, the price has been increased by 50 paise to Rs 1,869.
