Hyd Traffic Police Issues Advisory Ahead of Intercontinental Cup 2024 Football Tournament | Details

Hyderabad: Given the Intercontinental Cup 2024 Football Tournament to be held on September 3,6 and 9 at the GMCB Stadium in Gachibowli, the Cyberabad traffic police issued a traffic advisor expecting congestion on these particular days from 4 pm to 10 pm.

"#TRAFFICADVISORY In the view of #IntercontinentalCup  2024 Football Tournament at GMCB stadium, Gachibowli.  @cyberabadpolice advised commuters to avoid regular routes from Gachibowli ↔️ Lingampally. Alternate route on 03,06 & 09 of September 2024, from   16:00 to 22:00 hrs," it read.

Roads to be Affected:

As per the traffic advisory, the traffic is likely to be affected in the following routes- Lingampally to Gachibowli, Gachibowli to Lingampally and Wipro to IIIT Junction.

Possible Diversions:

Furthermore, the police department suggested a few alternative routes including.

It said from Gachibowli Junction towards Lingampally Junction can take a left turn at GPRA Quarters – Gopichand Academy – Infosys Wipro Junction –

Right turn- Gopanpally – University Back side – Lingampally.

Meanwhile, for Lingampally to Gachibowli Junctons, traffic coming can take a left turn at HCU Depot – Masjid Banda – Botanical Garden. And a right turn to  – Gachibowli.

"For those traveling from Lingampally towards Gachibowli Junction, it is recommended to take a left turn at HCU Depot, proceed through Masjid Banda and Botanical Garden, and take a right turn to reach Gachibowli," it said.

The traffic police also urged the commuters to plan their travel accordingly and to cooperate with officials to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the tournament.
