Hearing and speech impaired girl raped by neighbour in MP’s Shahdol
A 17-year-old hearing and speech impaired girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in Madhya Pradesh's Shahdol district, police said on Saturday.
Based on a complaint lodged by the girl's mother, the police arrested the 45-year-old accused on Friday, additional superintendent of police (ASP) Anjulata Patle said.
Kotwali Police Station in-charge Raghvendra Singh said the accused allegedly visited the victim's house while her mother was away in the last few days.

PM Modi in Ayodhya to inaugurate airport, railway station
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday arrived in Ayodhya to inaugurate a redeveloped railway station and an airport.
He will also lay the foundation stones for a slew of development projects in Uttar Pradesh.
Following his arrival, Modi held a roadshow during which he waved at and greeted people who had gathered along its route from the airport to the railway station.

Manipur village guard gunned down by unidentified men
Unidentified men gunned down a village guard at Kadangband in Manipur's Imphal West district around 3.30am on Saturday, police said.
The deceased, identified as Jamesbond Ningombam, was guarding the village when he was shot dead by suspected militants from a nearby hill, they added.
Ningbom's body was taken to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences here for post-mortem, police said.
Kadangband, located on the fringes of Imphal West district, shares boundary with Kangpokpi district which has witnessed constant violence since the ethnic strife broke out on May 3.
