He claimed that Rathee had told him six months ago that his life was in danger and that he had tried to petition the authorities for extra security but to no avail. Chautala has now demanded a CBI probe into Rathee's killing.

Several People Killed After a Car Collided with a Container Truck in Bihar's Kaimur

As per a local police official quoted by PTI, a Scorpio car enroute to Uttar Pradesh from Mohania collided with a container truck after it lost balance while trying to save a bike rider. Everyone aboard the car died and their bodies have been sent for post mortem examination.

Bihar Economic Survey 2023-24 Highlights 20 Fold Increase in Dog Bite Incidents in the State

Bihar has witnessed an over 20 times increase in dog bite cases compared to the previous year, according to data released as part of the state's latest economic survey. The Bihar Economic Survey (2023-24) released by the state government has identified dog bite as the "most prevalent disease" in the state.

According to the report, a total of 2,07,181 people suffered dog bites in the year 2022-23 whereas the total number was just 9,809 in the year 2021-22.

National Green Tribunal Asks 53 Cities to Submit Report on Polluting Sources

The National Green Tribunal has directed 53 cities which witnessed deterioration in air quality to submit a complete report on the contribution of each polluting source and measures taken to reduce pollution.

The tribunal was hearing the issue of air quality deterioration in different cities across India as reflected in the Air Quality Index (AQI) maintained by the Central Pollution Control Board.

Odisha: ABVP, NSUI Protests Over Alleged Class 10 Exam Question Paper Leak

Activists from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) staged separate demonstrations on Sunday outside the residence of Odisha's School and Mass Education minister Sudam Marndi, alleging a leak of Class 10 state board exam question paper.

Affiliated with the RSS and Congress, respectively, the student activists claimed that the English question paper for the Odisha High School Certificate Examination was leaked on Friday.
