‘Dilli Chalo’ March Paused till February 29: Farmer Leader Sarwan Singh Pandher

Addressing the media at Khaneri border, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the Dilli Chalo march has been paused till February 29.
The farmers decided to postpone the "Dilli Chalo" march till February 29. They made this announcement on Friday. The leaders of the protesting farmers have stated that a decision regarding the next course of action would be made after February 29, given the ongoing impasse between the federal government and the farmers.

At a press conference at Shambhu Border, a farmer leader said, “We have launched our movement in different states of the country. Male and female farmers were deboarded from the train in Bhopal. Those people were kept imprisoned. This movement was supported everywhere in Madhya Pradesh.” 

The farmer leader added, “We are not afraid of the government which is trying to brutalize us and is trying to impose NSA. Our organization is expanding to more states with its demands.” 

“This is not for the farmers of Punjab, this is for the entire country, make MSP law. This protest will increase in the coming days. We are not going to sit at home without finding a solution to this, ” he stated.

A Bengaluru court has sent summons to former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to appear personally before the court on March 28. The 42nd ACMM court has issued a summons based on a case filed by the BJP. The BJP had alleged the Congress leaders of giving ‘derogatory’ advertisements against its party leaders, including former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his deputy DK Shivakumar, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi have been summoned by a court over the party's accusations of a "40 per cent commission" during the previous BJP government's tenure.

Money laundering: ED raids several premises of SP leader Vinay Shankar Tiwari

Four Nabbed for Beating Man to Death Over Rs 2,300 in North Delhi

Two people were arrested while two other juveniles apprehended for allegedly beating up a man to death over a dispute involving Rs 2,300 in north Delhi's Burari area, police said on Thursday. Victim Priyanshu had received severe injuries after which he was admitted to LNJP Hospital. He died during the treatment on Thursday, police said. A police official said a case of murder was registered on the statement of Priyanshu's friend Jaikishan alias Chintu.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi dies at 86

Former Maharashtra chief minister Manohar Joshi passed away at a Mumbai hospital on Friday, where he was admitted after suffering a cardiac arrest, news agency PTI reported. Joshi was 86. The former Lok Sabha Speaker was admitted in the ICU of P D Hinduja Hospital on Wednesday and breathed his last at the private medical facility, family sources said.
