Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rijiju Meets Congress Chief Kharge

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday, a week ahead of the first session of the new Lok Sabha.

Rijiju met Kharge at the Congress chief's 10, Rajaji Marg residence in what was said to be a courtesy call.

The minister later shared a picture of the meeting in a post on X.

"I had a pleasant courtesy meeting with Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress party president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji. He shared with me about many valuable experiences of his life. Together, we all will work for the nation," he said in the post.

NEET Row: Bihar Police Recover 6 Post-Dated Cheques ‘Issued for Question Paper Facilitators’

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has recovered six post-dated cheques which were suspected to have been issued in favour of mafia demanding over Rs 30 lakh from each candidate seeking alleged leaked question paper ahead of NEET held last month.

"During the course of investigation, EOU sleuths recovered six post-dated cheques that were issued in the favour of criminals who reportedly facilitated question papers to the aspirants ahead of the examination," Manavjit Singh Dhillon, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), EOU, told PTI on Sunday.

Investigators are ascertaining details about account holders from the banks concerned, he added.

Amid water crisis, Delhi BJP MP inspects water pipeline

BJP MP from West Delhi Kamaljeet Sehrawat inspected a water pipeline in Dwarka amid the ongoing water shortage in the capital city. 

"We have been receiving calls from Dwarka RWAs and they have been coming to meet us with complaints of water shortage. Private water tankers are costing them a lot of money and they are unable to avail government tankers... The pipes that I inspected today are broken and a lot of water is being wasted... Delhi government is blaming other state governments for the water shortage whereas the problem lies within their department... I request Atishi not on humanitarian grounds, but as a Minister in the Delhi government, she needs to take care of her department..." said Sehrawat.
