New Delhi: Sources claim that no third party mediated the India-Pakistan ceasefire, indicating that both countries conducted direct negotiations to reach the agreement.
This comes after US President Donald Trump claimed that he had brokered the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, a claim that was refuted by New Delhi. The Center clarified that the ceasefire and peace talks were strictly bilateral matters between India and Pakistan, with no involvement from any third country in the negotiations.
As far as the conditions of the talks are concerned, New Delhi had earlier stated that any future discussions with Pakistan will strictly focus on Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), stressing the core issue.
India has once again taken a firm stance against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, launching precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) under Operation Sindoor.
Following these military actions, India intensified its diplomatic pressure, including the revocation of the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, which remains suspended to this day, further tightening its strategic grip on Pakistan.
