New Delhi: Jagdeep Dhankhar, who resigned as Vice President of India on Monday evening, is unlikely to deliver a farewell speech, sources said on Tuesday. His resignation, with two years of tenure remaining, came as a surprise on July 22.
In his resignation letter to the President of India Droupadi Murmu, Jagdeep Dhankhar cited health reasons and requested to be relieved from his duties.
Dhankhar in his resignation letter wrote, “To prioritise health care and abide by medical advice, I hereby resign as the Vice President of India, effective immediately, in accordance with Article 67(a) of the constitution.”

Jagdeep Dhankhar was appointed as Vice President of India on July 11, 2022 and has recently completed 3 years in office but surprisingly resigned from the post on Monday evening.
Now a day after his resignation, a lot of questions are being raised as the Opposition is questioning the Centre and pressuring the government to reveal the reason behind his sudden resignation.
