New Delhi: In recent significant developments in the Kangana Ranaut slap gate, senior officials revealed to the Republic Media Network that no FIR has been filed yet against LCT Kulwinder Kaur of the CISF unit who allegedly slapped the newly elected Mandi MP at Chandigarh Airport. However, the CISF constable has been suspended, and Punjab police have initiated an investigation is underway into the incident.

As per sources, an FIR will be filed after the preliminary inquiry is complete. No official statement has yet been issued by the Punjab police.

This comes after Kaur's brother, Sher Singh defended his sister saying that whatever happened was obvious and argued Mandi MP should have controlled herself.

What Happened at the Chandigarh Aiport?

On Thursday, June 6, the newly-elected BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi and Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut was allegedly slapped by Kulwinder Kaur, a CISF female guard while she was headed for boarding after security check-in at the airport, According to a complaint made by the BJP MP to the police.

The actor was at the Mohali International Airport to catch a flight for Delhi, which took off at 4:10 PM.

According to preliminary information accessed by Republic Media, sources claimed that Kaur slapped  Kangana over her remarks during the farmers' agitation when the actor went on to allege that women in Punjab had participated in the protest for money.

However, after Kaur had slapped the BJP MP, Mayank Madhur, who was also travelling with Ranaut, tried to slap Kaur in turn.

Who is Kulwinder Kaur?

Kulwinder Kaur, the constable involved in the incident hails from Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab and has served at Chandigarh Airport for the past two years. Kaur is married to another CISF personnel, and the couple share two children together.

Meanwhile, her brother, Sher Singh, is a prominent position as the organization secretary of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, indicating a familial connection to the farming community.

The constable's background suggests a close association with Punjab and its agricultural concerns.
