Kartik Purnima 2024: Kartika Purnima is a vibrant celebration observed on the full moon day of the Kartika month in the Hindu lunar calendar. It is highly significant in both Hindu and Jain traditions. On this day, the moon shines at its brightest, symbolizing purity and inner light.

Kartik Purnima is one of the most auspicious day to worship Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva also as Dev Diwali is also celebrated on the same day. This day holds a great religious and spiritual significance not particularly in Hindu religion but for everyone. Purnima is considered sacred as the Moon comes in its full form and when Moon is in its original form, then he bless the devotees with its divine rays that fall on earth. Devotees offer prayers to Moon God by offering Arghya and sweets.

Kartik Purnima 2024: Puja Vidhi

1. Devotees wake up early in the morning and take bath before starting puja rituals. 

2. Clean the house and puja room also. 

3. They visit the Ganga Ghats to take a bath in Ganga water so that they can cleanse their body and fulfill their spiritual desire. 

4. Those who are unable to visit Ganga ghats, they can take Gangajal and put some drops in bucket then fill it with water and take bath. 

5. Devotees must light a diya with desi ghee in front of the Lord Vishnu idol. 

6. Satyanarayan Vrat is also performed on this very day. There is no restrictions, you can perform satyanarayan puja anytime. 

7. Offering Tulsi Patra to Lord Vishnu will bring abundance in your life.

8. Prepare Panchamrit and Panjeeri for bhog prasad.

9. Perform puja and chant Vishnu Mantras. 

10. Recite Satyanarayan Katha and thne perform aarti. 

11. Offer Arghya to Moon God and offer prasad also. 

12. After completing the puja, distribute prasad among family member and break your fast and have sattvik food.
