Locked Room, Blood Flowing Out: Decomposed Body of Man Found on Stairs in Delhi's Chhatarpur
Decomposed body of man has been found in Delhi's Chhatarpur area in a case of what seems like an accidental death; blood was seen flowing out, room was locked.
New Delhi: A shocking case of mysterious death has been reported in Delhi's Chhatarpur area where a decomposed body of a 44-year-old man has been found after his room's door was locked from inside and blood was seen flowing out.
Locked Room, Blood Flowing Out: Decomposed Body Found
On 30.09.24, a PCR call was received at PS Mehrauli reporting, "Caller from Chhatarpur D Block Andheria Mod informed that a room was locked and blood was coming out."
The police staff visited the location, where they found the door at the stairs on the 1st floor bolted from the inside. The door was broken open, and the deceased, identified as Akeel, 44 years old, residing at the said address, was found lying on the stairs in a decomposed state.
Man May Have Fallen from Stairs, No Foulplay Suspected
According to preliminary enquiry, he may have fallen from the stairs, the body was decomposed. The deceased had been alone at home for the past 3-4 days, as his family members went to attend a marriage ceremony.
He had been unemployed for the last 5-6 months. The District Crime Team and FSL Team visited the spot. The body was preserved in the AIIMS mortuary, and no foul play was suspected.
Therefore, inquest proceedings under Section 194 BNSS have been initiated.
