Kedarnath: Good news is coming from Kedarnath, where New Mahindra Thar has reached Kedarnath Dham with the help of the IAF's Chinook helicopter. 

This Thar SUV will be used to serve handicapped and elderly people reaching Kedarnath Temple from the base camp. 

Rudraprayag state authority took this initiative to help those, such as senior citizens, handicapped people, and those who fell sick during the trekking.

The Thar reached here Friday morning, May 31, 2024, through the Indian Air Force's ‘Chinook’ helicopter.

Kedarnath Dham priests performed puja rituals before New Mahindra Thar could be used for service.

According to local officials, a total 2 Thar will be used to serve devoted pilgrims in the vicinity of Kedarnath Dham.

The locals and tourists are also praising the state authority's initiative.
