Major Drug Bust in Jammu & Kashmir: 413 Illicit Cough Syrup Bottles Seized, 3 Held
Police recovered 413 illicit cough syrup bottles in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag while arresting three persons in this regard.
Anantnag: Three people who were involved in running an interstate drug trafficking racket have been arrested, police said.
Police said that 413 bottles of Codeine Phosphate (NRX), branded as Codril-T, concealed were recovered from the car they were travelling in.

The arrested accused have been identified as Monty Singh of Bulandshahar, UP, Ashish Bardawaj, and Rahul from Chhatarpur, New Delhi.
Police Acted Upon Intelligence Input Received
The police further said that the consignment was allegedly meant for delivery in Sopore and Srinagar. The vehicle transporting the consignment was intercepted at Doonipora Sangam.
According to police, multiple checkpoints were set up along the Delhi to Srinagar route based on credible intelligence regarding the transportation of narcotic drugs.
Following further investigations, several raids were conducted, leading to the detention of a local smuggler from Sopore for questioning.
Meanwhile, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in New Delhi resulted in a raid at a warehouse in Noida's Sector 135, where a significant quantity of Codeine was seized.
The main figures behind the operation, Sachin Rana and Arun Rana from Faridabad, have been identified, and efforts to capture them are currently underway.
