Man Hits Friend With Bottle For Denying Alcohol, Friends Threw Him From 4th Floor

Mumbai: In a sensational incident that took place in Maharashtra’s Ulhasnagar, a man was pushed from the fourth-floor of a building by his friends after an altercation took place between them over alcohol at a birthday party. According to the police, the deceased was thrown away from the balcony after he hit one of his friends with a glass bottle for denying more alcohol as he was heavily drunk. On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.

Following the incident, a case under relevant sections was registered by the police and all the three friends of the victim were arrested. According to the police, the three accused confessed to the crime.

Police Detained All Three Friends of the Deceased

The deceased has been identified as Karthik, whose body has been sent for post-mortem.

A senior police official stated that the incident took place on June 26 at a birthday party. The celebration at the party soon turned into mourning after an argument broke out over alcohol.

According to the official, four friends identified as Karthik Vayal, Nilesh Kshirsagar, Sagar Kale and Dheeraj Yadab had gathered for a party on June 26. During preliminary inquiry, it surfaced that Karthik kept on asking for more alcohol, but his friends denied as he was already very drunk.

However, Karthik got miffed over continuous denial and in that fit of anger he hit Nilesh with a glass bottle, resulting in a deep injury on his head. This incident led to a further scuffle between them, following which the three friends together picked up Karthik and threw him down from the fourth floor of the building causing him fatal injuries.

After the incident, the accused tried to mislead the police during the interrogation, however, they later broke down before the police and confessed to the crime.

Following their confession, the police arrested them. Further legal action into the matter is being taken.
