Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP leader CT Ravi on Thursday hit out at the Opposition and said that the violence that broke out earlier this month in the state's Mandya district was a “pre-planned conspiracy to disturb peace”. The leader made this remarks while speaking at the Republic Kannada's ‘Kanasina Karnataka’ Summit.

During the event, CT Ravi said, “Home minister (G. Parameshwara) claims bombers as their brothers, the best example is the Mangalore Bomb blast case. ” He further added that, Nagamangala violence was preplanned and a conspiracy  to disturb  the peace of Karnataka and hence the law and order in state has to be more strengthened."

A riot broke out on September 11 in Nagamangala, Mandya district, after allegations of stone-pelting during a Ganpati immersion procession. Parameshwara also said the state government would consider the BJP 's fact-finding committee report if it reveals new information. Mandya District Collector Kumar reported that 54 people were arrested for their role in the riot.
