Noida: Amid sweltering heat across the Delhi-NCR region, a massive fire ripped through a building in Noida Sector-63 on Friday afternoon. The fire, which broke out on the first floor of the building inside an office, spread rapidly and engulfed the building leaving several people stranded inside. According to the police, during the preliminary inquiry, it was found that the fire erupted due to a short circuit in the AC installed in the office.

On information, the local police and the fire department personnel rushed to the spot and an effort to douse the fire was initiated. As per reports, the people trapped inside the building were rescued.

No casualties have been reported in the incident so far.

The rescue operation was underway.
