New Delhi: A new exhibition dedicated to highlighting the accomplishments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to open at the Prime Ministers’ Museum in the second week of January in New Delhi. Named the 'Narendra Modi Gallery,' it will display the milestones achieved by the PM during his nine-year tenure.

Situated on the ground floor of the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, the Modi Gallery follows the section dedicated to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The exhibition will spotlight various achievements, including the construction of the Ram Temple and the revitalization of other temples categorised under ‘Sanskriti’. Additionally, according to media reports, it will feature sections on his emphasis on science and technology, foreign policy, digital payment infrastructure, the abrogation of Article 370, border security, defence manufacturing, and welfare schemes like Ujjwala, along with initiatives for farmers.

The gallery, in development for over a year, was initially intended to cover events until December 2022 but has now been updated to include occurrences up to August 15, 2023.

Nripendra Misra, Chairperson of the executive council of the Prime Ministers’ Museum & Library (PMML), mentioned to an English daily that the gallery is organised into various sections highlighting key events from Prime Minister Modi's tenure. These sections include aspects of Modi's early life, his governance model, foreign policy, development initiatives, cultural rejuvenation, public participation, defence capabilities, environmental causes, and advancements in science and technology.

Further, the exhibition is designed to portray the Prime Minister as an effective communicator, utilising technology and diverse display forms, ranging from photographs to holograms, and employing state-of-the-art 7D technology in certain sections. Notably, the 'Suraksha' section will offer an eight-minute experiential showcase of India's defence capabilities, including crucial-defining events like the 2019 Balakot airstrike.

The Modi Gallery is part of the larger PMs’ Museum project inaugurated in April 2022. There will be no formal inauguration for the Modi Gallery, as it is an extension of the existing museum. However, it is expected that President Droupadi Murmu might be invited for an initial visit before opening the gallery to the public.
