Mumbai: The local train services in Mumbai have been delayed amid heavy rain in the Maharashtra capital.
The Central Railway has issued an update highlighting a fifteen-minute delay.
In an update, the Central Railway said, “Central Railway locals are delayed by 15 minutes due to a technical issue between Matunga and Sion stations.”
The Central Railway further said, “A local train in Up direction was stranded for nearly 35 minutes (7.45 am to 8.20 am) on Up fast line due to overhead wire issue. Few trains were diverted on slow line after this which resulted in nearly 15 minutes delay of all local trains.”
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in Mumbai, predicting heavy rainfall today and tomorrow. For today, the maximum and minimum temperatures predicted for Mumbai are 27.52 and 26.71 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, the weather update for Mumbai today says, “Moderate rain in city and suburbs. Possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in city and suburbs. Occasional gusty winds reaching 50-60 kmph very likely.”
