Chennai: A 19-year-old NEET aspirant from Tamil Nadu's Viluppuram, allegedly died by suicide after her father scolded her for giving a wrong One-Time Password (OTP) while applying for an OBC certificate.
The victim, identified as Indhu, was reportedly upset after her father shouted at her over the mistake.
What Led to the Tragic Incident?
Indhu’s father had gone to a government center to apply for the OBC certificate and had called her to provide the OTP needed for the application process. She, however, told him the wrong OTP twice, causing a delay.
Although he managed to submit the application on time, he allegedly scolded her after returning home.
