NEET-UG 2024 Re-Exam: 813 of 1563 Eligible Candidates Took Examination Today

New Delhi: In the NEET-UG 2024 re-examination, which was held on Sunday, June 23, a total of 813 out of 1563 candidates appeared at various examination centres across the country. The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 re-exam was on Sunday, for 1,563 candidates. Following the exams, the National Testing Agency (NTA) stated that only 813 candidates took the rescheduled exam, which was conducted at seven centres across the country. According to the NTA officials, only 52 percent of students turned up for the NEET-UG examination today. The results will be announced on June 30, as per the official information.

Earlier, the NTA had rescheduled the medical entrance exam for those students who were awarded grace marks to compensate them for time lost while writing the test due to administrative reasons such as wrong distribution of question papers, torn OMR sheets and others.

According to the data shared by the NTA, two candidates were eligible for the examination in Chandigarh, but none turned up. In Chhattisgarh, 291 candidates appeared for the test while 602 were eligible.

Similarly, in Haryana, 287 of 494 candidates took the test, in Meghalaya the presence of the eligible students was only 50.43 per cent, while in Gujarat, 1 candidate, who was eligible for the test and took the examination.
