PM Modi to Flag Off Three Vande Bharat Trains Today, Check Routes, Timings, Stops

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate three new Vande Bharat Express trains via video conference at 12:30 PM on Saturday.
The three new trains are Meerut – Lucknow Vande Bharat Express train, Madurai – Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express train and Chennai – Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express train.
New Vande Bharat trains are all set to enhance connectivity and boost religious tourism in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
These semi-high speed trains will serve key routes across Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
- Meerut City – Lucknow Charbagh Vande Bharat Express
This service will connect Meerut to the multicultural capital city of Lucknow, passing through Moradabad and Bareilly. It will shorten the travel time by one hour compared to the fastest existing train on this route. The train will be Operating six days a week, and will cover 459 km (285 mi) in 7 hours and 10 minutes.
- Madurai Junction – Bengaluru Cantonment Vande Bharat Express
Madurai Junction – Bengaluru Cantonment Vande Bharat Express train will link the temple city of Madurai in Tamil Nadu with the tech hub of Bengaluru, stopping at Dindigul, Trichy, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, and Krishnarajapuram. It will run six days a week, covering 573 km (356 mi) in 7 hours and 45 minutes at an average speed of 74 km/h.
- Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Junction Vande Bharat Express:
Connecting Capital City Chennai to Tample Town Nagercoil, this train will travel across Tamil Nadu with stops at Tambaram, Villupuram, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Kovilpatti, and Tirunelveli. Operating six days a week, it will cover 724 km (450 mi) in 8 hours and 40 minutes, with an average speed of 84 km/h.
