Young members of the Indian diaspora in Austria, arrive in Vienna to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed from Moscow, Russia and is travelling to Austria where he will meet President Alexander Van der Bellen and hold talks with Chancellor Karl Nehammer.
Briefing on PM Modi's Russia visit, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, said, “The major thrust of the discussion was on economic engagement. A significant component of it was also devoted to how the partnership between India and Russia can also give fillip to make in India and other manufacturing partnerships that give fillip to Aatmnirbahrata in India across a whole range of economic areas. A significant element of today's discussion also focused on connectivity corridors. In this regard, the two leaders spoke about the new proposed Eastern Corridor which is called the Chennai-Vladivostok Eastern Corridor. The two leaders also focused on important areas in the economic domain that link with the growth and growth of different sectors in both countries, in particular fertilizer supply from Russia to India, which is directly linked to the production and the farmer's yield in India. The two leaders also spoke about the need to move forward on the India - Eurasian Economic Union trade and Goods Agreement. We have had one round of discussions between the two countries and it is expected that this will be expedited in months ahead. The two leaders have set a new trade target of 100 billion by 2030."
After issuing a joint statement with Russian President Putin, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached a hotel in Moscow before departing for Austria, where he met and interacted with the Indian diaspora.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday honoured Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Russia's Highest Civilian Honour, Order of St Andrew the Apostle. PM Modi was bestowed with the award by the Russian president during their joint statement in Moscow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was ceremoniously presented with the Order of St Andrew the Apostle the First-Called, which was bestowed on him in the year 2019 at St Catherine's Hall of the Moscow Kremlin during his visit to Russia then.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, on Tuesday, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'in-depth analysis' of the bilateral relations and the global situation was important for Russia and Moscow. He added that Russia shared the point of view of PM Modi to a great extent.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Denis Manturov told ANI, "The level of relations, especially the relations between two leaders can be seen. The main honour that has been awarded to PM Modi is a significant moment in confirmation of the friendship between our countries and between the leaders of our countries. If we are talking about the sectors of the economy, in a wide list of spheres and sectors where we can see the result of cooperation... A lot of students from India study in Russia, more than 20,000 and especially 14,000 from them in medical universities... We can say that not only the trade is growing, but all other spheres of activity is also developing and in demand."
Hailing India-Russia relations, PM Modi said, “Under your guidance, the relationship between India and Russia has achieved great heights. Both of us believe that continuous efforts should be made for global stability and peace. In the time to come, we will work together towards this."
Expressing gratitude for highest Russian Civilian Honour, PM Modi said, “I thanks President Putin for presenting me with the highest Russian civilian honour. This respect is not just for me but for the entire India.”
While offering PM Modi the highest Russian Civilian Honour, the Russian President said, "Dear friend, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to congratulate you for this highest Russian award and wish you good health, success and all the best. To the friendly people of India, I wish peace and prosperity."
In a Joint Statement, Russian President Putin said, "Now that you (PM Modi) have been at the helm of the Indian govt for 10 years, you have genuinely strived to elevate Russian-Indian relations to a privileged strategic partnership...It would be impossible to over-emphasise your contribution to building a resilient framework for Russian Indian cooperation in the international arena where both our nations are defending the principle of multipolarity for the sake of stability, global and regional security and working closely in BRICS and SCO."

During the negotiations, ways to diversify Indian-Russian cooperation in areas such as trade, security, agriculture, technology and innovation were discussed. We attach great importance to transport accessibility and cultural exchange.”

“As a friend, I have always said that for the bright future of our coming generations, peace is of utmost importance. But I also know that solutions are not possible on battlegrounds.
