PM Modi stops for tea at Ujjawala scheme beneficiary's home, takes selfies with children in Ayodhya

He also took selfies with two children and also gave them autographs. The Prime Minister signed a painting of Ram Temple that a boy showed him.

Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had busy day at Ayodhya today as he inaugurated several projects at the temple town. However, he took out time from his hectic schedule and made sure to interact with the common public at the Ram Lalla birthplace. 

Not just that, he made a small stopover at the residence of a woman, who is tenth-crore beneficiary of Centre's flagship scheme Ujjwala for a cup of tea. He discussed the well-being of the beneficiary over the cup of tea.

PM Modi walked the narrow streets of Ayodhya and greeted the crowd gathered there to see him. He also took selfies with two children and also gave them autographs. The Prime Minister signed a painting of Ram Temple that a boy showed him.

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was started in May 2016 to provide clean cooking fuel to poor households across the country. Under PMUY, a deposit-free LPG connection is provided to adult women from poor households.

PM Modi inaugurated slew of projects in Ayodhya ahead of Ram mandir inauguration

Ahead of the much-awaited Ram Mandir inauguration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a massive Vikas push in Ayodhya on December 30, Saturday by launching a slew of development projects, including an airport and a revamped railway station, two new Amrit Bharat and six new Vande Bharat trains.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated the redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Railway Station and flagged off new Amrit Bharat trains and Vande Bharat trains.

The six Vande Bharat trains were inaugurated virtually by PM Modi from Ayodhya Dham Railway Station.

He then proceeded to inaugurate the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at Ayodhya Dham. (With inputs from ANI)
