PM Modi Takes Metro Ride in Ahmedabad After Launching India's 1st 'Vande Metro' Service | VIDEO
The Prime Minister took the ride from Section 1 Metro Station to GIFT City Metro station, as per a video shared by news agency ANI.
Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a metro ride on Monday (September 16) with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Governor Acharya Devvrat after inaugurating the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project.
The Prime Minister took the ride from Section 1 Metro Station to GIFT City Metro station, as per a video shared by news agency ANI.
In the video, the Prime Minister can be seen interacting with the volunteers who accompanied him on the ride. The video also captures the moment when PM Modi is waving to his supporters at the station.
This comes PM Modi flagged off the country's first 'Vande Metro' service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad besides several other Vande Bharat trains. The PM also launched the second phase of the metro rail service connecting Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.
PM's other engagements include the inauguration of the 4th edition of RE-INVEST 2024 in Gandhinagar and inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore in Ahmedabad.
"After memorable programs in Jharkhand , landed in Ahmedabad a short while ago. I will be attending various programmes in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad tomorrow, 16th September. In the morning, will interact with beneficiaries of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and thereafter take part in the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet and Expo at Mahatma Mandir," PM said in a post.
"In the afternoon, will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of development works worth over Rs. 8000 crore. These projects cover energy, roads, housing and more," it added.
Other than this, the PM also inaugurated a 30 MW solar system, a 35 MW BESS Solar PV Project at Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station, Kutch, and 220 Kilovolt substations at Morbi and Rajkot.
