PM Modi Unveils ‘PUSHP’ Model For Developed India: What Is It?
PM Modi unveils "PUSHP" vision to propel India's growth and urges Indian diaspora to contribute towards a prosperous, unstoppable Bharat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered an electrifying speech to a packed audience of the Indian community at a mega diaspora event in Long Island, New York, during his three-day visit to the United States. PM Modi kicked off his speech with a warm "Namaste," highlighting how this traditional Indian greeting has now become "multinational" and "gone from local to global." During the address, PM Modi unveiled his vision of "PUSHP," which he stated would be instrumental in taking India to greater heights.
“PUSHP stands for Progressive Bharat, Unstoppable Bharat, Spiritual Bharat, Humanity Bharat, and Prosperous Bharat,” said PM Modi, emphasizing that this framework encapsulates the essence of India’s growth and global standing. Each letter of the acronym reflects the different dimensions of India's progress:
What is the PUSHP Model for India?
- P for Progressive Bharat: Signifying India's relentless march towards innovation, modernization, and development across all sectors.
- U for Unstoppable Bharat: Symbolizing the country's ability to overcome challenges and push forward with resilience and determination.
- S for Spiritual Bharat: Honoring India's deep-rooted spiritual traditions that continue to inspire its people and guide its moral compass.
- H for Humanity Bharat: Emphasizing India's role in championing global humanitarian efforts and fostering international cooperation.
- P for Prosperous Bharat: Highlighting the country’s pursuit of economic growth, wealth generation, and improved standards of living for all citizens.
This ambitious vision, according to PM Modi, will serve as a guiding principle for India's future development.
During his address, PM Modi reflected on India's transformation, stating, "What didn't happen in the last 60 years, is happening now," underscoring the significant strides the country has made under his leadership. He highlighted the importance of the mandate given by the people of India, describing it as a vote of confidence that sets new goals for the nation. "The mandate that Indian people have given holds great significance. It sets new goals for us, and we have to move ahead with 3x pace," he said, expressing his commitment to accelerate India’s progress.
PM Modi also invoked the spirit of the freedom struggle, drawing parallels between the sacrifices made by past generations and the responsibilities that lie ahead. "During the freedom struggle, some were attacked by bullets, some were pushed behind bars," he remarked, before urging everyone to live for the nation. "We all could not die for the country, but we can live for the nation," he said, adding, "I could not die for my country, but I have decided to devote my life for the country."
