NCP Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha Majeed Memon took to Twitter on Tuesday and accused the Governor of Maharashtra for withdrawing nine hours from the NCP’s allotted time to for government formation and submitting a report seeking President's rule in the state. This came after the NCP had sought more time to stitch together the required numbers. Majeed Memon wrote that the NCP asked the Governor to give them an extra 48 hours to prove the majority and that is when the Governor without answering them submitted a report to the Centre. Moments after this the Shiv Sena decided to move the Supreme Court to challenge the Governor’s decision on denying the extra time to them on Monday.
NCP said some of our alliance MLAs group was out of station and physically we May require some more time to go th Raj Bhavan with authentic evidence of support so we needed 48 hours more. The Hon ble Governor not only decline this time but withdrew even remaining 9 hours .?
