The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday intensified its attack on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, for his controversial remark on Sanatan Dharma. In view of Udhayanidhi’s comparison of Sanatan Dharma to diseases like "Malaria and Dengue", the saffron party has now equated the DMK leader with “Hitler” and drew some eerie similarity between him and the dictator of Germany.
Sharing a poster of Udhayanidhi and Hitler with certain similarities mentioned, the BJP on Twitter wrote, “There is eerie similarity between how Hitler characterised the Jews and Udhayanidhi Stalin described Sanatan Dharma. Like Hitler, Stalin Jr also demanded that Sanatan Dharma be eradicated.”
“We know how Nazi hate culminated in Holocaust, killing approximately 6 million European Jews and at least another 5 million Soviet prisoners of war and other victims,” the saffron camp added.

The BJP further mentioned that Junior Stalin’s meditated comment was unadulterated hate speech and a call for genocide of 80% population of Bharat (India) who follow Sanatan Dharma. In addition to this, the saffron party launched a dig at the multi-party anti-BJP alliance, I.N.D.I.A, for supporting Udhayanidhi’s comments and said, “Congress and I.N.D.I.A support for Stalin’s bile is most disconcerting.”

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai has also slammed Udhayanidhi Stalin over the 'Sanatana Dharma eradication' row and termed him as "Udhayanidhi Hitler".
Security beefed up at Udhayanidhi's residence
Security has been beefed up at Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Greenway residence in Chennai. According to sources, apart from the three regular police officers assigned to protect each minister's residence, an additional ten police officers were deployed at the DMK leader's residence.

This sudden deployment of additional police officers outside Udhayanidhi’s residence came after Ayodhya seer Paramhans Acharya publicly announced a reward of Rs 10 crore for anyone who beheads Udhayanidhi Stalin for his derogatory remarks against Sanatan Dharma.
What was the controversy?
A massive controversy erupted after Udhayanidhi during a public address on Saturday, September 2, made some contentious comments on Sanatan Dharma evoking criticism from the BJP. "I thank the organisers of this conference for giving me the opportunity to deliver a special address. You have kept the name of the conference as 'Sanatana Abolition Conference' rather than 'Anti-Sanatana Conference', I appreciate that. Few things cannot be opposed and needs to be abolished only,” Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son said during his speech.
"We can't oppose Dengue, Mosquitoes, Malaria, or Corona, we have to eradicate them, that's how we have to eradicate Sanatana. Rather than opposing Sanatan, it should be eradicated. The name Sanatana is from Sanskrit. It is against Social Justice and equality," he added.
