SCOOP: 'Wait for Yogi Adityanath's announcement; Good news coming post-Diwali' - Big Ayodhya 'hint' by Uttar Pradesh BJP

Ahead of Diwali and in the context of the growing rumble calling for government action towards building the Ram Mandir, the BJP's state president in Uttar Pradesh has dropped a significant hint about an impending announcement by UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

Mahendra Nath Pandey, the BJP's UP state president, while remarking on the fact that Yogi Adityanath will be celebrating Diwali in Ayodhya, the same as last year, said, 'Certainly there will be good news after Diwali. Wait for Yogi ji's announcement'.

"Yogi ji ne Yojna banayi hai Ram Mandir ke liye, Diwali ke baad khushkhabri denge Yogi ji", Pandey said, which translates to "Yogi ji has made a scheme for Ram Mandir. He will give the good news after Diwali."

He added, "We are committed to bring Ram Mandir".

The BJP UP chief's hint comes amid a growing clamour for some form of intervention by the government towards building the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, sparked by the Supreme Court delaying hearings in the long-standing Ayodhya dispute saying that an appropriate bench would decide on the date for the hearing and that it was not a priority at the moment. 

Since the events in the Supreme Court, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister has offered that a 'delay in justice is sometimes tantamount to injustice' and that 'the court should give a fast-tracked solution to the matter' 

Yogi Adityanath said:

'The Ayodhya land case is under the consideration of the honourable Supreme Court. Justice given on time is considered to be the most just. Whereas, delay in justice is sometimes tantamount to injustice.

'The saints, with full adherence and patience, should indulge themselves in all the worthwhile solutions in the matter that have the potential to bring peace within the nation and build a strong trust towards the Constitutional institutions of the country'.

'Everyone respects the Judiciary and we adhere to the Constitution. I request the Court to give a fast-tracked solution in the Ayodhya land matter'.  

Before the Supreme Court's delay, he had put forth that the matter was not one of politics, rather, about faith:

"There should be no discrimination. If the Supreme Court can give its verdict on the Sabarimala Temple, then we appeal that a decision on the Ram Mandir should also be taken as soon as possible. This is best for peace in the country. Moreover, the issue of Ram Janmabhoomi is not about politics, it is about religious sentiments."
