Tejashwi politicises PM Modi accepting Virat Kohli's fitness challenge and issues a challenge of his own

RJD chief and leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has taken exception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreeing to participate in Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore's #FitnessChallenge campaign.

Earlier on Thursday, in response to none other than Team India captain Virat Kohli, the Prime Minister had said that he would post a video of himself performing his daily exercise. Tejashwi Yadav, a son of two former Bihar Chief Ministers who have a long history of opposing the BJP, has tweeted on the matter and issued a challenge of his own to the Prime Minister.

Tejashwi has written:

"While we have nothing against accepting fitness challenge from  @imVkohli . I urge you to accept the challenge to provide jobs to young, relief to farmers, promise of no violence against dalits & minorities. Would you accept my challenge @narendramodi Sir?"

Tejashwi Yadav was present in Bengaluru for HD Kumaraswamy's swearing-in as Karnataka CM on Thursday where the Opposition made show of strength and unity.

In the days immediately prior to that, Tejashwi had also made a case for why the Bihar Governor should dismiss the Nitish Kumar-led JD(U)-BJP government in Bihar as his RJD was the single largest party in the state and should have been given the first chance to form a government when the RJD-JD(U) Mahagathbandhan alliance broke in 2017.

The Congress had raised all the points mentioned by Tejashwi while taking on the BJP in the Karnataka elections.
