Explaining her comments of calling Congress General secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as 'thief's wife' and the controversy that followed, Union Minister Uma Bharti has explained her comments.
Taking to Twitter she has reiterated her claim and said that whatever she said is factually correct. She has further added that it hits hard because it is the truth.
Explaining her comment further, she said, "Robert Vadra has been accused of corruption and is out on bail. The meaning of bail is that his crime is half identified. Bail does not mean clean chit. In such a situation what will his wife be called? I have only said that. When Robert Vadra's wealth was increasing manifold, was his wife not aware of it? At least I did not say that she is his partner in the theft."
Expressing that her comment is harsh and will be painful to the Congress, she said that the BJP also feels the same when the Congress' netas call Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'chor'.
"Its the truth that whatever I have said might cause pain, but it is offensive for us as well when the Congres' netas call our Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'suit-boot wala chor' and 'chowkidar chor'. Do they bother about that? We are both angry and pained. Our heart and soul both are hurt on such jibe."
Taking further on the legacy of Congress party and Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, she said:
"This family should understand that they are not the incarnation of God and we the people of India are not their subjects. They will get what they sow. They will have to hear whatever they speak. I have given a befitting reply, by not using a jibe as harsh as theirs, just that my target was hit. These brother and sister duo needs this type of cure."
