Porsche Killing Case: Pune Crime Branch Ropes In Army For Crash Impact Analysis

Pune: The Pune Crime Branch officials have sought help from the Indian Army to conduct a 'crash impact analysis' of the Porsche car, driven by accused super brat, that mowed down two IT professionals to death on the night of May 19.   

The 'crash impact analysis' method will assist the prosecution in the Pune Porsche Crash case to establish the fact that the vehicle was involved in the incident of killing two persons.

‘Crash impact analysis’ process is similar to crime recreation but not the same, said officials. It's performed to constitute base in the case as if the accused claims that the vehicle had not killed the victims then the report will stand crucial in the court of law, they added. 

The Pune Crime Branch added that post-mortem reports of the victims have confirmed that the cause of death was multiple injuries which happened due to a car crash.

Super Brat, 3 Others From Family Held

The mother of the super brat involved in the Pune Porsche Crash case was arrested for manipulating the blood sample of the accused to evade arrest. 

It was the fourth arrest from the family with super brat, his father and grandfather had already been apprehended by the Pune Crime Branch.

The arrest of the super brat's mother came days after the Pune Crime Branch informed the local court that the blood samples of the juvenile driver were allegedly exchanged with those of a woman.

The Pune Police had arrested two doctors at Sassoon Hospital for allegedly manipulating the minor's blood sample. “After the accident, the (Yerawada) police station had sent the juvenile, his two friends who were with him in the car and (family) driver to Sassoon General Hospital for giving blood samples. Of these samples, the juvenile's blood sample was swapped. Their (other three samples') results also came nil (no traces of alcohol were found)," a police officer said.

An investigation into the case is underway with Pune Police identifying traces of crime by interrogating persons arrested in the Porsche crash case.
