Prajwal was asked by his party and family members, including HD Kumaraswamy and HD Deve Gowda to return immediately and face the SIT probe.

Bengaluru: Suspended JD(S) leader and sitting Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, who is embroiled in an obscene video case, has booked a return flight ticket to Bengaluru from Munich on May 30, official sources said on Wednesday. 

The MP, who is seeking a second term from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, went abroad just a day after polling took place in his constituency. Prajwal had been asked by his party and family members, including HD Kumaraswamy (his uncle) and HD Deve Gowd (his grandfather) to return immediately and face the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the government.

According to sources in the SIT, the 33-year-old parliamentarian is expected to land in Bengaluru in the wee hours of May 31. The probe team is on alert and maintaining strict vigil at the Kempegowda airport to arrest him as soon as he lands. 

Soon after the news broke out that the Karnataka State Commission for Women requested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order an investigation into the huge cache of explicit videos showing several women being sexually assaulted allegedly by him, the MP had fled to a Germany.
So far, two cases of sexual assault have been registered against Prajwal.

After stern warnings by HDK and Deve Gowda, the MP released a video message two days ago, promising that he would appear before the SIT on May 31 and said that the cases against him were false. 

The suspended JDS leader had twice cancelled the flight ticket from Germany in the past, the sources added. Meanwhile, the SIT raided Prajwal's residence in Hassan on Tuesday which went on till late in the night. "Some incriminating materials have been seized," they said.
